The 5 cone dribble drill
So since this is the first post on this blog, I have decided to go with a simple yet super effective drill that can be used for any age group and any player position. This drill should actually be used by all players, including goal keepers. This drill is a great way to become a more complete dribbler.
Let's go through the steps of this simple yet extremely effective drill.
STEP 1:
Line the players up behind the first cone, feel free to place your cones anywhere on the pitch. In the image we are starting between the box and the corner flag.
STEP 2:
The first player will start by pushing the ball forward with the outside of their foot, left or right. Then they will move the ball between cone 1 and cone 2 using the inside of the same foot used to start the drill. This technique is called outside, inside.
STEP 3:
Using this technique, players must complete a dribble through all five cones, before picking the ball up and running back to the start. This is a single player at a time drill, so try not to let players start if the player in front of them is still busy.

NB: Players must use one foot and not dribble through by passing the ball between each foot. This is another drill that will be talked about in the next article.
